DTE-6M device purpose
The DTE-6M device is intended for operability testing and ampere-second characteristics monitoring of circuit breakers by power frequency AC in the 20A – 6kA range. It is capable to measure and record time and values of current transmitted through the circuit breaker, hereinafter – CB. It can be used as a controlled AC power source of current up to 6kA in low impedance power circuits.
In order to ensure personnel electrical safety, the output circuits are galvanically isolated from the power supply. The DTE-6M voltage on output terminals is less than 7V with fully opened thyristor, that is favorable for the circuit breakers contacts in time of tripping, which wearing is significantly reduced during multiple tests.
